Made in the Likeness of Man

Amazing Love:
That You, who created the universe and breathed life into us,
would enter the confinement of time and dimension,
would endure the ignomy of birth and the degradations of infancy,
would walk through life with no more power and authority than You would bequeath to us at Your death,
would endure all the consequences of our sins and failures to win for us the righteousness we couldn't attain,
would show us the face of our estranged Father so that we could love Him again,
would truly be God-with-us, Emanuel, now and forever!

No wonder the Father has elevated Your name above every other.  No wonder every knee will bow and every tongue acknowledge Your lordship.
